Empowering Mental Health in Yellowstone County
Join us in fostering a supportive and connected mental health community in Billings and beyond and discover how we unite professionals and organizations to enhance mental health services.
Our Journey and Vision
The Yellowstone County Mental Health Alliance was founded in 2023 to bring local mental health professionals, organizations, and community partners together. Our vision is a connected mental health community where professionals know one another, collaborate more easily, and refer with greater confidence. Through monthly meet-ups, continuing education, professional membership, community partnerships, and our annual conference, we create opportunities to build relationships, share knowledge, and strengthen the network of support available throughout Billings and Yellowstone County.

Our Goals and Initiatives
The Yellowstone County Mental Health Alliance creates opportunities for local professionals and organizations to connect, learn, and collaborate. Our monthly meet-ups introduce attendees to community resources, organizations, and topics relevant to their work, while optional continuing education supports ongoing professional growth. The annual Bridging the Gaps Conference expands those opportunities through education, connection, and cross-sector collaboration. Through professional membership, an online member directory, and strong community partnerships, we help build trusted relationships and strengthen the local network serving Yellowstone County.
Impact on the Community
Strengthening Mental Health Connections
What began in 2023 with 15 professionals gathered around a table has grown into a trusted network reaching hundreds of people across Yellowstone County and beyond. Relationships formed through YCMHA have increased awareness of local organizations, strengthened referral connections, and made it easier for professionals to find one another when clients and community members need additional support.
The Alliance has also helped reduce the isolation that can exist within mental health work. By creating a stronger sense of professional community, YCMHA encourages people across disciplines and organizations to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and recognize that we can serve our community more effectively when we know and trust one another.
